These terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your license to Orion when downloaded from the App Store.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Orion (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use and Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. What Orion provides
Orion is an on-device, general-purpose AI assistant intended to help with writing, brainstorming, learning, and exploration. AI-generated content is probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, outdated, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable.
3. Your responsibility for AI output
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any output. Do not rely on Orion as a substitute for qualified professional advice, including medical, legal, financial, safety, or emergency advice. Never use output where an error could cause harm without independent expert verification.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Orion to violate any law, infringe another person’s rights, create or distribute unlawful or harmful material, harass or deceive others, develop malware, or attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
5. Your content
You retain responsibility for the prompts and other content you enter and for your use of generated output. You represent that you have the rights necessary to use content you provide. Orion stores and processes content locally as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
Orion, including its software, interface, branding, and original materials, is owned by its developer or licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your license to use the App is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and subject to Apple’s Standard EULA.
7. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orion is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App or its outputs will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Orion will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on AI-generated content, use or inability to use the App, or loss of locally stored content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes and availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue the App or parts of it. Updates may be required for continued use. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
10. Termination
You may stop using Orion at any time by deleting it. Your right to use the App may end if you materially violate these terms or Apple’s Standard EULA.
11. Governing terms
These terms are subject to applicable law and the jurisdiction provisions in Apple’s Standard EULA. Where consumer protection law grants you mandatory rights, those rights are not limited by these terms.
